Canada Express Entry eligibility

The key express entry eligibility requirements are as follows:

  • Provide the score results of the language test. The language tests results are valid for two years and.
  • Overseas applicants need to show their Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) report lists parallel to the Canadian education. ECA’s are valid for five years.
  • A candidate need to apply online in Express entry and submit EOI.
  • Need to score minimum 67 points based on their profile factors (i.e. age, education, language proficiency, etc.) to become eligible to apply via express entry system.
  • Apply for Australian citizenship after spending specific time in Australia.
  • Provide the health and character certifications once ITA (invitation to apply) for PR visa is issued.

What is Canada Express entry Draw?

The IRCC launches a draw (also called as Canada Express Entry Draw) every fortnight to choose the best candidates for issuance of invitation to apply for PR visa. For every express entry draw, qualifying marks (CRS Score requirement) are decided. The candidates who meet or exceed the qualifying marks, becomes eligible to receive ITA from IRCC. Canada Express entry Points Requirements

The Candidates submitting their EOI (Expression of Interest) in Express Entry System are given points for their each profile detail, i.e. qualification, work experience, language proficiency, age, etc. based on the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS). The cumulative of these points forms a CRS Score of the candidate. The Candidates with top CRS score are selected by IRCC in its periodic Express Entry draws.

How to apply in express entry system of Canada?

You may follow the process below to apply in express entry system of Canada. The Express Entry system has two key steps, i.e.

Step 1) Potential candidates complete an online Express Entry profile. Qualified candidates are placed in a pool.

The prospective candidates need to complete an online express entry profile where they are asked to provide their:

  • Skills,
  • Work experience,
  • Language ability,
  • Education and
  • Other details needed by the CIC for assessment

Those who meet the criteria for one of the federal immigration programs subject to above get accepted into a pool of candidates.

  1. Candidates will be assessed against others within the pool, and be ranked based on criteria that are known to come up with a newcomer’s economic success in Canada.
  2. Only the highest-ranked candidates, and those with valid offers or provincial/territorial nominations, will be invited to apply for permanent residence.
  3. Anyone who does not have the offer supported by a Labour Market Impact Assessment or a nomination from a province then they must register themselves with the Employment and Social Development Canada.
Step 2) the highest-ranking candidates in the pool will be invited to apply for permanent residence.

Candidates will be graded against others in the pool using a point’s based system called the Comprehensive Ranking System. Points will be awarded on the basis of the information provided in their profiles, i.e. Age, qualification, work experience, language proficiency, etc. Candidates with the highest scores in the pool will be issued an Invitation to Apply.

A candidate gets additional points for:

  • A nomination by a Canadian province or territory.
If a Candidate is Selected for ITA in any of the Express Entry Draws.

If someone is invited to apply, they will have 60 days to submit an online application for the permanent residence. The IRCC will process the best part of complete permanent residence applications received in six months or less. Candidates can stay in the pool for up to 12 months. In case they do not get an invitation to Apply for permanent residence within the 12 months of submitting an express entry profile, they have to submit a new profile.

Federal Skilled Workers Program – 2019

The Federal skilled workers Program (FSWP) is one of the best immigration programs to get Canada PR in 2019. FSWP is a key category in Canada’s Express Entry Immigration System. Who can get this Visa:-

You are eligible to get this visa if you:-

  • have worked full time for at least one year in the applying occupation within the past 10 years in the skills 0, A and B and
    • Fall in the occupation list approved by the Canada immigration and citizenship in consent with the labor market or
    • Have a job offer already arranged in the Country or
    • Are an International graduate who has enrolled himself/herself in the PHD program in Canada and
  • Meet the minimum English requirement of Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) 7.
  • Can claim additional points by Test d’evaluation de francais(French exam test).
  • Have Canadian Diploma ,Bachelor , trade certificate or Foreign Qualification assessed by Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) by an agency approved by Canada immigration and citizenship to provide evidence to Canadian qualification.
  • Do not have any criminal convictions.

These occupations are either:

  • Skill Type O (management occupations) or
  • Skill Level A (professional occupations) or

Starting from May 2013 Canadian government has introduced a process of going through the Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) where foreign degrees,diplomas certificates etc are compared with the Canadian credentials to check their equivalence before applying for Federal Skilled worker visa.

Every person who is a primary applicant and has completed their education outside Canada has to undergo Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) before lodging the final visa application.

Canada Federal Skilled Trades Program(FSTP)

The Federal Skilled Trades Program is for the applicants who are qualified trade workers and want to migrate to Canada permanently after receiving a offer of employment.

The government approves only 3000 applications each year under this visa category where no more than 100 applications for a particular occupation is considered for processing each year for Category A while there is no cap on Category B.

Canadian Experience Class

After you have spent some time in Canada and you have required skilled experience ,good knowledge of English and French while on student or temporary work permit visa can apply under Canadian Experience class to gain permanent residency in Canada.

Eligibility Criteria:-
In order to be eligible to apply the applicant should:-
  • Have experience in the skills mentioned in National Occupation Code(NOC) i.e. experience in one of the following:-
    • Managerial jobs (NOC skill type 0)

    • Have at least 12 months of full time working experience in the nominated occupation in past three years preceding the application.

      • For occupations in Category 0, A

Within six (6) months of receiving your nominee certificate, apply to Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) for your permanent resident visa.
